Reaching The Jungle and Starting the Quest
Before initiating the quest, players must ensure that the dam in Vanaheim has been opened to restore water flow to the region. Once the riverways are accessible, row your boat toward the dock located in the southern portion of The Jungle. Head toward the sleeping dragon lair, squeeze through a narrow wall gap near a large footprint, and the quest will automatically trigger.
Solving the Cage Trap Puzzle
After discovering the empty nesting area, drop into the central hole to land inside a metal cage structure. Look up and throw the Leviathan Axe at the revolving gear mechanism to raise the cage bars. Freeze the gear quickly before stepping outside, where local dog-like Gulons will be roaming. Lure these creatures inside the cage, recall the axe to lock them in, and use the external chain mechanism to lift the platform up to draw out your target.
Defeating the Slag Horn Drake
Once the bait is taken, head back out to the main open arena where the formidable Slag Horn Drake awaits your attack. Maintain distance when necessary and aim the Draupnir Spear at the glowing weak spots located on its front legs. Detonate the spears to stagger the boss, opening a crucial window to inflict massive damage. Defeating this beast awards useful resources including Dragon Teeth and Dragon Claws to upgrade gear.
